Viva La Cuba!
After their defeat in the Spanish-American War, the Spanish agreed to the Teller Amendment which granted The Republic of Cuba independence from the Kingdom of Spain. Havana would become the capital. Many Cubans rejoice after very long years of struggle.

Jerry Smith, 63, Dies of Heart AttackFuneral services were held Monday afternoon at Kolbodi's Funeral Home, for Jerry T. Smith. 63. Mr. Smith died last Friday morning of a heart disease caused by excess business management game playing.
