Petition Seeks Enlargement Of West VENT Voting DistrictA petition seeking to enlarge the West Slumville election district of Lower City Township by incorporating in it portions of the Slumville and North Hicktown No. 1 districts was presented to the Big County Court on Monday. Jerry Smith, 63, Dies of Heart AttackFuneral services were held Monday afternoon at Kolbodi's Funeral Home, for Jerry T. Smith. 63. Mr. Smith died last Friday morning of a heart disease caused by excess business management game playing. |
Letter to Editor: Worthwhile CauseThere's a worthwhile cause roundabout the Boro, to which I know you'll want to contribute when you hear the facts. Hatfield was telling me that the Slumville Boy's Club baseball team needs about S200. They did right well last year, all but winning the championship, and they need money for balls, bats and umpires. He is the athletic director of the outfit. Do give them a little financial backing because they need it and deserve it. |
