Bankers Panic!
United States and many world institutions have been rocked by the Knickerbocker Crises! Stocks prices have fallen drastically and many fear runs in the banking system. Demand for large priced consumer goods such as automobiles have been effected.

Letter to Editor: Worthwhile Cause


There's a worthwhile cause roundabout the Boro, to which I know you'll want to contribute when you hear the facts. Hatfield was telling me that the Slumville Boy's Club baseball team needs about S200. They did right well last year, all but winning the championship, and they need money for balls, bats and umpires. He is the athletic director of the outfit. Do give them a little financial backing because they need it and deserve it.

Petition Seeks Enlargement Of West VENT Voting District


A petition seeking to enlarge the West Slumville election district of Lower City Township by incorporating in it portions of the Slumville and North Hicktown No. 1 districts was presented to the Big County Court on Monday.

Take Part in Program


Jill West and Bill Biltmore, Lower City High School seniors will participate in the VENT Chorus Program to be held in Slumville next week, it was announced by officials this week.

GearCity Man Hurt In Slight Accident


A GearCity man was injured last Thursday evening in an automobile manufacturing game accident. No further comments were made.
