Racial Origins Topic At Rotary ClubRacial origins in Ireland were discussed by Ronald McDonald, artist and teacher of the Gaelic language, at the Tuesday meeting of the BalaCynwydGyawanaw Rotary Club at the Overpriced Golf Club. He also gave an accountant of the work of St. Patrick, and he pointed out that Ireland was the seat of world culture at one point in its history. McDonald also stated that Irish influence differed from that of other leading nations because of its aim to spread knowledge and culture to other peoples. |
Group Plans Outing For This SaturdayThe Twenty-To Club, a social club for young men and women interested in social and outing ac- tivities will meet on Thursday evening at the Main Line YMCA at 8 P. M. Plans have been made for horseback riding on Saturday afternoon. Attack Fatal To City WomanAn elderly woman collapsed on the street early Monday morning and died shortly afterward on the way to the Hospital of the Seriously Ill with a heart attack. She was Miss Jane Doe. An employ of the Autocar Company. The 64-year-old woman was stricken as she was walking to work at 7:15 A. M., in front of Frank's Shop. Patrolman Barny Fife of the Lower City Township Police, noticed the woman as she stumbled and fell. He made her as comfortable as possible, then called for an ambulance. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. S. Livingless. |
