The colonies of Natal, Transvall, and Orange River have merged into a constitutional monarchy known as the Union of South Africa. The new nation is a dominion of the British Empire. There are many disagreements over the location of the capital. Cape Town has been chosen as the seat of Parliament.

4 Hurt Sunday In Two-Car Collision


Four persons were injured in a head-on collision between two cars in Hicktown early Sunday morning. Both cars were wrecked, and the injured were taken to the Semi-Serious Hospital of the Injured.

Jerry Smith, 63, Dies of Heart Attack


Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Kolbodi's Funeral Home, for Jerry T. Smith. 63. Mr. Smith died last Friday morning of a heart disease caused by excess business management game playing.

Library to Observe 25th Anniversary


At the Library Association meeting on Monday night, plans for the observance of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the GearCity Community Library were made.
