City Legion Post Plan Formal PartyThe City Post of the National Legion is planning its first formal party of the season.. The party will be held at the City Tribute House with members and guests gathering for cocktails in the lounge before an 8 o'clock dinner. Dancing will continue until 1 A. M. Fifteen City Line Nurses DischargedOf the 34 City Line nurses, who served in the Army and Navy Nurses Corps during the war, 15 have recently been discharged. |
Red Circle ReportsWith 10 days remaining in the Red Circle Fund drive, district leaders on Tuesday reported 65 per cent of their $265,000 goal collected. Total collections to date represent an increase of 32 per cent over last week's report which listed only one-third of the goal received by the City Branch. Still in first place among the 23 local districts and the only area to surpass its quota is District 3, headed by Nurse Little, with 105 percent. |
