Policeman Resigns To Enter BusinessPatrolman Charles Sexton has handed in his resignation to the Lower Merion Township commis- sioners to go into business. He risked for a, furlough for a year but it was refused. Sexton is go- ing to open a shop for repairing fenders and painting automobiles. Group Plans Outing For This SaturdayThe Twenty-To Club, a social club for young men and women interested in social and outing ac- tivities will meet on Thursday evening at the Main Line YMCA at 8 P. M. Plans have been made for horseback riding on Saturday afternoon. |
Red Circle ReportsWith 10 days remaining in the Red Circle Fund drive, district leaders on Tuesday reported 65 per cent of their $265,000 goal collected. Total collections to date represent an increase of 32 per cent over last week's report which listed only one-third of the goal received by the City Branch. Still in first place among the 23 local districts and the only area to surpass its quota is District 3, headed by Nurse Little, with 105 percent. |
