Letter to Editor: Worthwhile CauseThere's a worthwhile cause roundabout the Boro, to which I know you'll want to contribute when you hear the facts. Hatfield was telling me that the Slumville Boy's Club baseball team needs about S200. They did right well last year, all but winning the championship, and they need money for balls, bats and umpires. He is the athletic director of the outfit. Do give them a little financial backing because they need it and deserve it. GEARCITY SCHOOL NEWSA play was presented by Miss Brown in the auditorium at assembly yesterday. The play entitled 'A Rough Day.' Was about a teacher, Miss Anybody, who has a very bad class and just can't control them. A boy named Very Dickens, who was full of mischief, didn't help the class at all. A very helpful child, Amy Goodkind helped the teacher from losing her temper. |
