GEARCITY SCHOOL NEWSA play was presented by Miss Brown in the auditorium at assembly yesterday. The play entitled 'A Rough Day.' Was about a teacher, Miss Anybody, who has a very bad class and just can't control them. A boy named Very Dickens, who was full of mischief, didn't help the class at all. A very helpful child, Amy Goodkind helped the teacher from losing her temper. Attack Fatal To City WomanAn elderly woman collapsed on the street early Monday morning and died shortly afterward on the way to the Hospital of the Seriously Ill with a heart attack. She was Miss Jane Doe. An employ of the Autocar Company. The 64-year-old woman was stricken as she was walking to work at 7:15 A. M., in front of Frank's Shop. Patrolman Barny Fife of the Lower City Township Police, noticed the woman as she stumbled and fell. He made her as comfortable as possible, then called for an ambulance. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. S. Livingless. |
Use of Playground Solves Part Of City Parking ProblemLower City Township commissioners went a long ways in solving the City's business commercial parking problems Wednesday night when they announced that one half of the town's central playground would be used as a parking lot. "Kids today should go home and play video games, we need these parking spots because we did not have the foresight to build them in the past. |
