There are several ways to view your competition, depending on the type of information you’re seeking. Anytime you adjust prices for your vehicle, you can view its competition in the selected market at the bottom of the window. The list is in order of units sold. You should pay special attention to the vehicle’s sales price and its relation to the type rating. Even though these vehicles are in the same class as yours and sold in the same location, they may not be in the same wealth demographics. Use the Wealth Distribution Chart to see what economic demographics your design covers. You can also check out the Buyer Rating Sales table in this report for a detailed look at each design's Buyer Rating. Please note, when looking at sales data and vehicle prices, the AI sales might be lower than normal because of production limitations. If you want to see AI sales of vehicle types that you don't offer, or in locations you're not at, or you just want to look at the sales for an entire company, you can do that on the world map. Select the City or District you want to view. Then click the "Competition" button. The Competition Window has three lists. The top left is a list of all companies operating at this location. The top right is all active vehicle types. And the bottom is the vehicle sales list based on the top two selections. The bottom list is similar to the one found in the Branch Distribution window. There are several graphs available here. What if you were looking for more technical details about the competition? You’ll find several more tools in the showroom. The Showroom’s primary purpose is to show you information about your past vehicle designs, but it also includes two tools to look at your competitor’s designs. The first of these is the Model Compare tool. This tool allows you to compare the specs and ratings of two vehicles side by side. At the top left is a filter and a list of vehicles. Your selection here appears on the left side of the comparison. And at the bottom left is a filter and a list of vehicles for the right side of the comparison panel. The next tool is the Marque Catalog. It works similarly to the Model Compare tool, except you’re only viewing one vehicle design. The reporting system also includes several looks at your competition. You can view yearly sales figures, revenues, expenses, and cash funds in the Company Directory report. This report is under the Industrial section of the main reports. The Prestige and Image rating report shows your competitor’s image ratings. You can also find all-time top-selling vehicles, top-selling vehicles in the last 12 months, vehicle class market share, and many other reports about your competition in the Industrial section of the main reports. Finally, if your competition is public, you can view much more information about the company with the stock report, accessed from the Stock Window. This report provides financial information, factory locations, factory usage, branches, dealerships, vehicle designs, inventory, and production.
