The reports system contains several stats and ratings about your company, other companies, and the game world. The most important rating report is the Body and Fuel Type demand report. You can access this report in the Industrials Menu. It is the first report on the list. The Body Type Demand table is first on the report. This table lists every vehicle type and how popular that type is in each region. This report is one of the most important reports you’ll use in the game. The more popular a vehicle type is, the more people want to buy that type of vehicle. Other companies also have access to this information, and so more popular vehicle types tend to have more competition. The percentage value in the cells shows what percentage of vehicle buyers are interested in this type of vehicle as their first choice. The up and down arrow indicates the trend the popularity is moving. Types with up arrows are gaining in popularity, and the inverse is true with down errors. The table for Fuel Type Popularity is below the Body Type Demand table. This table lists every useable type of fuel and how popular it is to consumers. Customers are unlikely to purchase any vehicle with an engine that uses an unpopular fuel type. Both the body and the fuel type popularities change based on historical trends and player interaction. You and AI manufacturers can greatly alter history by increasing the market share of body and fuel types. For example, if 4% of all vehicles sold in the game world are Diesel, and Diesel’s popularity value is 2%, the popularity value of Diesel will increase at a faster rate, thus increasing sales of Diesel designs. The next rating report is your Labor Skills report. This link is the second report listed in the Industrials Menu. This report lists your company and any marques you own. It shows the skill ratings of these companies. Each skill rating corresponds to the actions your company takes. They increase the more frequently or better you do at the actions. Please see the manual for details on what each skill effects and how they change. Returning to the Industrials Menu, you’ll find the Prestige/Image report. The Prestige and Image ratings are how the public view certain parts of your company. For in-depth details, see the game manual. But here is an overview: The Image rating is your overall company image. We generate this rating mainly from your specific vehicle type ratings, your overall ratings, your marketing efforts, and your reaction to game events. The next rating is your Luxury Rating. This rating is how the public views the luxuriousness of your vehicles. You can improve this by producing vehicles with higher luxury ratings. The Performance and Racing image is how consumers view the sportiness of your company. Companies that make high-performance cars or have a successful racing history will have higher Performance and Racing images. The quality rating comes from the dependability ratings of your designs, vehicle quality ratings, and a small amount of your vehicle luxury ratings. All of these image ratings affect the sales of your vehicles. For instance, your Performance and Racing image will improve the sales of your designs to customers interested in buying sportier vehicles, even if the vehicle type they’re interested in isn’t sporty. The final rating report is the Marketing Efficiency report. This report is in the Operations Menu, under the Marketing Expense report. The Market Efficiency report shows how well your marketing efforts are doing for each class of marketing. Marketing Efficiency increases the more money you spend on marketing, and the higher your marketing skill goes. Any marketing has a positive effect on your vehicle sales, so do not let low-efficiency scores discourage you from marketing.
